Chhavi Choudhary

Chhavi is a postdoctoral researcher in the Kaur Lab at the University of Illinois Chicago, working at the interface of reproductive genetics and host-symbiont interactions. She completed her Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Central University of Rajasthan, India, where she investigated sex-specific gene expression and functional genomics in the red flour beetle Tribolium castaneum. Her current research focuses on uncovering how molecular interactions between host and symbiont shape reproductive mechanisms affecting fertility and behavioral  outcomes. Beyond research, Chhavi is passionate about reading literary classics, visual art and is a trained black belt in karate.
